Near Life Experience, Why Wait Until You’re Dying

During this evening, his “first night out” since the accident, Don will be sharing his experience with near death as well as stories and perspectives from his life’s work relating to the changes in consciousness over the past 40 or 50 years and how that relates to the transformation that is taking place on the planet today. This includes the surge in interest that is happening individually in “waking up” to who we really are and the untapped potentials that have been lying dormant for so long. The focus will be two-fold: on being aware of self as more that just a body personality, and giving ourselves permission to experience ourselves on deeper levels, as opposed to endlessly thinking about having those experiences and trying to figure it all out in advance.  His favorite question has been, “How real do you want to make it, and how far do you want to take it?”  No judgment in that question, just an individual personal check-in as to where we’re
coming from in the present moment of our unfolding.

Don Ley began delving into the realm of spirituality and spiritually based healing in the mid 1960’s as a counterbalance to his professional life as a CPA.  He soon was applying what he had learned by working with clients in the evening and on weekends.  He knew then that he had found what he loved to do.  The transition from accountant to healer continued into the 70’s as he spent three years traveling around the world sampling whatever came his way that resonated with the urges he felt. These urges originated from childhood memories of experiences that couldn’t quite be explained.  On returning, Don knew his life would never be the same.  Recognizing he had never fit into the typical mode of “accountant’, he also knew he likely wouldn’t be a typical “healer and teacher” either.

While healing and working with spiritual awakening with people from all walks of life over the next 35+ years, part of his work involved assisting people as they were dying.  Always feeling it was an honor to participate in the dying process, he learned as much as he could to be of assistance. Then after 40 plus years of experience in healing and teaching he was faced with perhaps the ultimate experience of all. Just over a year ago in a near fatal accident he had a near death experience. While out of his body, he was aware that he had a choice to make.  He chose to come back. He wasn’t finished yet.
