We are sometimes prompted by Spirit to stretch beyond our ordinary lives to travel to take up a mission or project that leads us into the unknown. How we receive these messages and the gifts and challenges of such callings will be addressed by a panel of four presenters from our community.
Susan Bradbury, acupuncturist and sound healer, was inspired to travel to Mongolia and has since set up a small school and a tree planting project.
Tim Costello struggled with a life threatening illness and out of that journey was moved to establish the Slum Doctor Program which funds medical supplies and services to AIDS victims in Africa.
Betty Kellow is a social worker who traveled to Kenya and now supports a project for aids orphans.
Kathryn Fentress is a mental health counselor who never climbed a mountain in her life until spirit called her to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Each of the presenters will tell their stories and answer questions from the audience.
