"SONG OF THE NEW EARTH"
A lyrical documentary about one man’s quest to integrate modern science and ancient mysticism through the transformative power of music and sound. Director Ward Serrill (The Heart of the Game), editor Eric Frith (Eden), Producers Betsy Chasse (What the Bleep Do We Know!?) and Sophie Jane Mortimer, present Song of the New Earth, featuring the life journey of renowned sound healer, psychotherapist and modern day mystic Tom Kenyon from a young aspiring Nashville musician to an internationally revered sound alchemist.

Song of the New Earth profiles the ardent quest of sound healer, psychotherapist and sonic shaman Tom Kenyon to integrate modern science and ancient mysticism through the power of sound. His rare ability to brilliantly decipher the healing science of sound results in a mesmerizing, and transformational documentary feature film.

Tom Kenyon
As an aspiring country musician, Kenyon was on way to fame and fortune in Nashville when a series of mystical experiences rocked his world. Desperate to understand his experience, he fervently dove into the study of neurophysiology to explain his unexplainable spiritual insights and continued his search through studying Tibetan Buddhism, Yoga, Taoism, mystical Christianity, Shamanism, Egyptian alchemy and more.
From his home in the San Juan Islands to Tibetan nunneries in the Himalayas, from cathedrals and mysterious caves in southern France to the golden-chandeliered symphony halls of Vienna, Song of the New Earth explores the cutting edge scientific research proving that sound shifts brain states and can promote dramatic healing not only for ourselves but for our precious planet earth. With his wife Judi, often by his side, Kenyon explains how sound vibration speaks to our souls and bodies by opening a door that bridges our cognitive thinking; catapulting us towards insights into the miraculous. A transcendent, celestial experience that transports viewers through Kenyon’s rare, divine gift.
Tom Kenyon holds a B.A. in Communication and Speech from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Masters Degree in Psychological Counseling from Columbia Pacific University. He also pursued post-graduate training in Ericksonian Medical Hypnosis at the Southeast Institute and Certification in Whole Brain Learning at the Whole Brain Learning Institute.
He worked as a psychotherapist and counselor for over twenty-five years in private practice, and in 1983 he formed Acoustic Brain Research to scientifically study the effects of sound and music on consciousness and the brain.
As a result of his over ten years in brain research, Tom’s work is centered around the use of sound and music as a means to create altered states of consciousness for the purpose of accessing the brain/mind’s unused potentials. In addition to his focus on neuropsychology and psychoacoustics, Tom teaches each of the five major systems of transformation: Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Egyptian High Alchemy and esoteric Christianity.
Tom teaches workshops and leads tours all over the world. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book, Brain States, and the fantasy sci-fi novel, Mind Thieves. He also authored The Hathor Material and co-authored The Magdalen Manuscript with his wife, Judi Sion. He is a featured author in The Great Shift. He has produced over 100 CDs and cassettes.
