Mary and Brita lived and worked for a number of years in the Findhorn Foundation, an education center in the north of Scotland. Findhorn, with several hundred community members, founded in 1972, is one of the oldest and largest New Age-oriented spiritual communities in Europe. This ecovillage includes extensive organic farming, wind and solar power, a natural waste water processing facility, and an educational facility hosting weekly and monthly residential programs in personal and spiritual growth. Findhorn Foundation organizes international conferences on topics such as environmental issues, intuitive development, social and organizational development and typically receives several thousand visitors per year.
The center is grounded in the principles of deep inner listening and acting from the source of one’s own inner wisdom; co-creation with the intelligence inherent in nature; and service to the world.
Mary was a key player in building up the international network that is an integral part of Findhorn’s service to the world. Brita served as a workshop leader and conference organizer.
In this session, participants are invited to try out a typical “attunement” that begins a working day in Findhorn, along with other exercises and meditative dancing that is part of daily life in Findhorn.
